In our fifth impact story we would like to introduce Sandra Ankunda. Sandra’s business, started in 2020 with the support of her family, is called Sandra Matooke Enterprise Limited, and is located in Mbarara, western Uganda. It processes matooke, a variety of starchy green banana (plantain), into instant matooke flour and raw matooke flour.

Our final story in our series highlighting the impact of young African agri-food entrepreneurs who have completed our 'Entrepreneurship in Agribusiness' course is about 'Hamse Abdirahman'. Hamse is studying veterinary sciences in the remote community of Sheikh in Somaliland, where he is establishing a sheep fattening business with the support of his university which he then aims to continue after graduation.
